This summer, the spirit of teamwork and community was on full display as Consult Group proudly sponsored and participated in the inaugural Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) Endurance Race Day. Held at the renowned Daytona Sandown Park, the high-octane event brought together teams from across the region for an epic go-karting challenge, all in support of an incredible cause. We are thrilled to announce that the day was a resounding success, raising an outstanding £10,000 for KSS.

It was a day defined by more than just speed; it was about adrenaline, collaboration, and a shared purpose. Teams from Consult Construct, Consult Sustain, and Consult LDN joined the action on the track, channelling their competitive spirit to give back to a service that saves lives across our region every single day.

Racing for a Life-Saving Cause

The KSS Endurance Race Day was a unique and exciting way to support a vital local charity. The event saw teams battle it out in a multi-hour endurance race, testing their driving skills, strategy, and teamwork. The atmosphere was electric, with friendly rivalries and a strong sense of camaraderie uniting everyone present.

The most significant achievement of the day was the incredible fundraising total. Together, the participating teams and sponsors raised over £10,000. This is a phenomenal amount that will have a direct and immediate impact on the charity’s operations.

To put this figure into perspective, it is enough to fund more than three complete, life-saving helicopter missions. Each mission costs thousands of pounds and involves a highly skilled team of pilots, doctors, and paramedics delivering critical pre-hospital care to patients in their moment of need. When every second counts, the ability of the KSS helicopter to reach any part of the region in under 30 minutes is often the difference between life and death.

The money raised from the Endurance Race Day will help keep the KSS helicopters in the air, equipped with the latest medical technology and staffed by world-class professionals. It helps to save lives and keep families together, and we are immensely proud to have contributed to that mission.

Why We Support Air Ambulance Charity KSS

The Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex is a service that any one of us could need at any time. The charity provides a 24/7 Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS), bringing the hospital to the patient when they are critically ill or injured.

Operating almost entirely on public donations and fundraising, KSS needs to raise millions of pounds each year to continue its service. The charity is not part of the NHS and receives only a small fraction of its funding from the government. The rest comes from the generosity of individuals, communities, and businesses.

This is why events like the Endurance Race Day are so crucial. They provide a vital income stream that allows the KSS team to be ready to respond to emergencies at a moment's notice. By participating, our team and fellow sponsors have played a direct role in ensuring this essential service remains available to all.
